Apple Exec got fired after his daughter has released a hands-on Video of iPhone X

Peterson now insists her father has been dismissed as a result of her video. In a mournful video, Peterson describes her father violated an Apple organization rule by supporting her to film the unreleased handset at Apple’s campus. Apple reportedly asked that Peterson remove the video, but it was certainly too late as the content spread further and further.

The video itself may have looked like an innocent hands-on, but it did include footage of an iPhone X with personal employee-only QR codes. A notes app was also displayed on the iPhone X in the video, which appeared to include codenames of unreleased Apple products. Filming on Apple’s campus is rigorously prohibited, so filming an unreleased iPhone X is a definite rule violation.

We’ve seen related dismissals in the past. A Microsoft representative was dismissed after his son posted photographs of the Xbox 360 before its release. The Apple engineer in question had worked at the company for about four years, building the iPhone RF and wireless circuit design.News reached out to Apple to prove the dismissal, but the group has not yet responded to a request for comment.

“Apple let him go,” Peterson said. “At the point of the day, when you run for Apple, it doesn’t matter how good of a character you are, if you break a rule they just have no understanding.”

Apple’s strict NDA policy is in place not only to ensure the security of the proprietary technology but also for domestic safety.
