JPMorgan Investigated On The Recent Hacking Attacks On Banks

The FBI is on an investigation with JPMorgan with the hacking attacks on 7 of the top 15 banks.The extent of the damage and who maybe the reason for this is still unknown.A person who analyzed and interpreted this attack said “The hackers have used sophisticated, a new malware(never before seen) to get deep enough into the computer system and personal data of the banks to delete and to stole records and data“.

This malware could affect all sorts of personal data, bank logs and maybe the information about users bank details etc.As for the threat, users bank accounts are insured often as many cyber attack these days.This hack attacks the integrity of the banking system, argued Salo Fajer, chief technology officer of data protection firm Digital Guardian.

JPMorgan spokeswoman Patricia Wexlers said “Companies of our size unfortunately experience cyberattacks nearly every day. We have multiple layers of defense to counteract any threats and constantly monitor fraud levels“.

Recently, the FBI said it had launched a broad investigation and is working with the United States Secret Service to determine the scope of recently reported cyber attacks against several American financial institutions.
Hackers from Russia and eastern Europe are often top FBI suspects in cyber attack. FBI are planning to investigate the hackers of Russia and eastern Europe soon. The delay in time has raised suspicions and pressure between Russia and the West over Ukraine and economic sanctions.

We invest a lot in cyber security per year” said JPMorgan. The bank plans to spend more than $250 million on a year for cyber security and appoint over 1,000 people to focus on cyber secuirty by end of  this year.
