Recently Google announced that it is introducing a new company called Alphabet, in which Google will be a part of Alphabet.
Google also revealed its new CEO Sundar Pichai and Alphabet CEO is Larry Page.
Since alphabet.com is owned by BMW, Google was pushed to use abc.xyz. German car manufacturing company BMW owns alphabet.com and it was not ready to sell the domain to Google. alphabet.com got registered back in 1997, said by the company’s spokesperson to The New York Times.
alphabet.com was down when Google announced its new company Alphabet due to high traffic on the site.
