Microsoft has just announced a brand new version of their Windows 10 preview build today. This is named as Build 15002 and it comes with a lot of new features. The features range from support for folders in the Start menu tiles to the new Cortana keyboard shortcuts and many more. Let’s have a look into it.
One of my favourites about the update is the support for building folders in Start menu tiles. This is a feature that is already on Windows Phone and basically it allows you to keep a small group of programs in a small, easily area on the Start menu. Microsoft also introduced new keyboard shortcuts that are very useful. Now you can access the Snip tool with just a single tap of Win + Shift + S and you will get a menu to crop and capture a part of your screen. Another useful shortcut is with the Microsoft voice assistant, you can now access Cortana by saying “Hey Cortana,” or by just tapping Win + C.
The ability to adjust blue light output is now built right into the OS, no need of external softwares to do the work. This basically reduced the blue light from your display in the late night as continuous exposure to blue light causes sleeping problems in the individuals. There are many other changes, from changes to theme customizations to cross-device settings and Windows Defender improvements. Microsoft even changed the BSOD to the new Green Screen of Death (GSOD).
Windows 10 Insider build 15002 available now
We should see these roll out to everyone relatively soon as Microsoft moves toward the launch of its major Windows 10 Creator’s Update, which is due out sometime during the spring. Windows 10 Build 15002 for PC is available now for folks in the Windows 10 Insider program.
