In the beginning, it started with a group of black hat hackers getting caught in illegal activity online. Instead of carting them off to jail, they were given a series of intelligence quotient/mental aptitude tests.
Can you see where this is going?
Being blackmailed by the federal government is nothing new. This particular group of blackmailed individuals, under order from the government, happened to fabricate Marianas Web/DarkestDepth/Dark Fantasy Network/whatever.
Conspiracy theory BS aside, the attention to detail is almost admirable. They literally organized every single post – from the nonsense on Quora, Ask.FM and Reddit to the paranoia on Intel Exchange and 4chan. They also actively kept up with answering questions and providing “clues” over the last 2 years.
99% of the information posted online was false, but a few things did hold truth. For example, CSS (closed shell systems) might not exist, but .loky used to. The information on it was hardly extraordinary though, and can now be found on the dark web or WikiLeaks.
But let’s not forget that the name of the game isn’t truth: it’s distraction.
With the general public too busy trying to figure out if these things exist – or too busy trying to tell others they didn’t – the federal government busted several illegal online activities. And the distraction is still doing its job.
Over the last 2 years, rumors have only increased. V3RDAD is still relatively active on his social media accounts, and he is still promoting the lies.
A few days ago, I was messaged by another person. N3URO’s name had popped up several times during my research, and up until this week he was also actively promoting the lies.
The difference between V3RDAD and N3URO is that N3URO didn’t know they were lies. Everything has an end – continue to the next article if you’re interested in hearing N3URO’s side of the story.
