Amazon is not paying Internet Taxes Tweeted by Donald Trump

The Washington Post the day after it wrote a report on fake Donald Trump Time magazine covers swinging up at his golf courses, the president posted a very confusing tweet since taking office.

The AmazonWashingtonPost, sometimes referred to as the guardian of Amazon not paying internet taxes (which they should) is FAKE NEWS!

Said By Trump.

This sentence does absolutely no thought. Of course, there is no such word as an internet tax. Trump meant likely relating to sales tax, but Amazon began collecting sales tax nationwide during April. Also, even despite Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos bought The Washington Post in 2013, Amazon is a totally separate entity from the news outlet.

This is far of the first time Trump has created false claims about Amazon and The Washington Post. In 2015, Trump addressed on Twitter that Bezos owns the paper to put “taxes down” at “his no profit company” also, at a gathering last fall, Trump claimed he would go after Amazon during his first 100 days:

Amazon, which though its ownership, controls the Washington Post should be paying massive taxes but it’s not paying, and it’s a very unfair playing field and you see what that’s happening and what that’s doing to department stores all over the country. Very, very unfair. And you’re talking about billions and billions of dollars. They should be paying those taxes.
