The Creator of angry birds, Rovio Inc is going public

Rovio, the Finnish corporation behind Angry Birds, is preparing to go public.

Citing sources, News tells the IPO could estimate Rovio at $2 billion and that the organization could grow about $400 million of a local market listing. Though, it appears that a final judgment has yet to be made, involving Rovio may decide to stay single for longer.

Since first publishing Angry Birds in 2009, Rovio has grown its business to introduce movies and other games because the organization understood it could not totally rely on Angry Birds games for income. The announcement of the Angry Birds movie in 2016 supported increase game sales and beginning this year, Rovio posted 2016 revenue growth of 34 percent to 190.3 million euro with earnings of 17.5 million euro. In the time prior, Rovio posted a loss.

Back in Spring, news spread out that Tencent was thinking a $3 billion acquisition of Rovio, as well as that Rovio, may think going public in the near future.

At the time, Rovio said, “A stock market listing at some time in the future could be likely in order to maintain the continued strong growth of Rovio and its imperative targets.”
