Ex-PSNI Officer Charged with Purchasing Illegal Firearms on Dark Web

Northern Ireland is dealing with an internal issue regarding a PSNI officer, also known as the Police Service of Northern Ireland, and his illegal activities on the Dark Web. Much has been discovered throughout the investigation including a deep criminal history the officer in question has had.

31 year old Allen Kennedy has been officially charged for his crimes, which include trying to purchase a firearm using a Dark Web marketplace. It was also discovered that Kennedy had included ammunition and a silencer in his purchase. This addition to his activities have led to authorities positively believing that the accused purchased the gun with the intention to actual use it and not just for personal use as Kennedy has claimed.

Kennedy has also been charged with possession and intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cannabis. The investigation was very thorough and started in 2016 when the suspect was initially apprehended by Belfast authorities due to an undercover operation regarding the purchasing of the Dark Web firearm.

They were able to operate incognito during the entire transaction where Kennedy arrived in southern Belfast to receive and pay for the illegal package at Annadale Embankment. Kennedy arrived for the purchase, not knowing all the time that he was buying from an undercover agent, turning over 500 pounds for the order.

The courts have stood their ground on the fact that Kennedy has zero defense for his actions, especially as an officer of the law. It was also discovered that he has been struggling with a drug addiction to cocaine for quite sometime. Additionally, Kennedy was recently suspended from PSNI but the details relating to the incident aren’t being disclosed. UK courts are committed to prosecuting Kennedy to the full extent for his crimes regardless of his numerous, empty claims for defense.
