Hulu’s live TV subscription service cut off the end of Super Bowl

Instead of watching the game’s ending, users were met with an error screen. Error reports ranged from “no content available” to one that said the sport couldn’t be shown due to rights limitations.

There are a lot of alternatives to Hulu, first, the Super Bowl will certainly be shown on broadcast TV. So if you’re watching TV experience, just head over to NBC. Pretty easy.

You’ve also got lots of streaming options. NBC will stream the game for free via its NBC Sports apps and websites.

If you’re spending to stream live TV via services like YouTube, Sling, and DirecTV now, you will also likely be able to run the game there, though that will depend on the deals they’ve worked out with your local NBC station.

You can also run the game for free on your phone, via the Yahoo Sports app, no resolution what carrier you have. That’s the conclusion of a new Verizon-NFL deal; Verizon subscribers can also stream the game on Verizon’s Go90 app and the NFL’s own mobile app.

Complaints immediately surged on Twitter. News has asked out to Hulu for an explanation as to what created the unfortunate error. In a tweet, the firm said there had been “a technical issue” and said users could restart their Hulu app to restore the match feed. Hulu’s internet TV contenders including Sling TV and YouTube TV didn’t experience the same service break.

If fans needed a last-minute backup, the tournament was available to stream for free (no cable required) on mobile from the NFL app or Yahoo Sports.
