Demand for Cyber-Security Staff

Due to the increasing incidents of malicious nature, cyber-threats, and governmental cyber espionage, the demand for professionals in this field has increased by three times in the past one year.

As companies try to enhance their defense systems against information security breaches, the demand for people who have got an expertise in the field of cyber-security has outstripped the past figures. The reason for it is quite evident and self-explaining. This has all been explained and elaborated in a report conducted by Belong.

This increasing trend is likely to grow even rapidly with the increase in the use of the Internet.
The Belong report is based on information from posts by organizations who are in need of cyber professionals on multiple platforms over a period of one year.

The report states that the organizations are going on a hiring spree in order to secure their information and credentials from getting breached.

The demand of hiring is triggered by the frequent use of banking, technology, and financial services.
This bulk of the demand lies, most probably among the top 10 IT hubs of the country, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

The need for cyber-security professionals is all across the nation, but the majority of these lie in the fresher level.
With the demand increasing so rapidly, a rise in expats hiring is also expected to occur, especially for the roles of mid-level and senior-level nature, where experience is demanded.

Presently, most organizations are in a trouble either by giving more responsibilities to their mid-senior employees or depending too much on third-party employees.

With technology advancing in a very fast manner, many organizations have started to focus on cyber- security and to get involved in training talented people to lessen this gap of demand and supply.
