A team of Chinese hackers names Pangu have released an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1.
The jailbreak is compatible with iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, Retina iPad mini and iPod touch 5G running iOS 7.1-iOS 7.1.1.
Redmond Pie put an iOS 7.1.1 untethered jailbreak tutorial together to walk through the steps. The devices compatible with Pangu are as follows:
- iPad Air
- iPad mini Retina
- iPad mini
- iPad 4, 3, 2
- iPhone 5s
- iPhone 5c
- iPhone 5
- iPhone 4s
- iPhone 4
- iPod Touch 5
The tool is currently only available for Windows but a Mac OS X version is expected shortly. The Pangu tool will work on iOS 7.1 to iOS 7.1.1 devices.
