A fake news spreading among Facebook about Chris Brown, singer shot dead by police and as the story continued the police shot him to death as he did’t stop the car as he was carrying 50-kg (110-pound) of drugs.
As usual the scam article consists of video which when clicked by Facebook users , redirecting it to a new site requesting them to complete survey in order to watch the video.
After the completion of survey before offering the access to see the video the user is asked to share the message, a mistake that many users seem to make, despite the inherent risk of the action (passing along unverified content). This only helps the crooks spread their deceit to more potential users and publish their website or stuffs.
The site hosting the scam has been reported by Online Threat Alerts to be chochachi[.]com/chris/?1222.This website if more often used for these types of scam, says the report.
The central idea of these type of scam is to publish a particular software/website, even completion of survey by the users gains crooks to earn more .Another type of scam is also spreading among Facebook “Nude Pics Of Jennifer Lawrence”, this also redirects users to unknown location with surveys.
It appears that this scam is not yet active because there is no online survey available for it.
