Offline GPS Navigation Coming Soon For Ubuntu Touch

Ubuntu Touch is now trying to introduce new feature using GPS Navigation for offline people. Offline GPS navigation is more useful and its a good solution for the people who don’t have proper internet connection. GPS are more useful for some people on their daily tasks. The map look is as simple as that.

OSMScout (OpenStreetMap Scout) an app which seem to provide “gpx tracks and OSM-relations on a SlippyMap which also includes OpenStreetMapApi to access the database.”

Here is a video shared by Frans Schreuder on Google+ which shows OSMSount working on Ubuntu Touch. Even though the app works well their is a problem, the app needs access to SD card, which is not permissible. Since other apps too need access to the SD card and the policies might change.
