Favicon Bug Can Crash Your Web Browser

Security analyst and software developer Andera De Pasquale has discovered a new way to crash your web browser by putting 10+ GB file as your favicon which crashes users browser when they try to download it.

The browser first allows the user to download the favicon file and then after a minute the user browser gets crashed without any notification.

This bug works on both for mobile devices as well as desktop users. Web browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari is vulnerable to this bug. But Firefox has fixed this issue with an update.
