Facebook Messenger for Android & iOS gets new update with group calling up to 50 people

Facebook announced a group-calling feature for its Messenger app, letting people in the group to dial up to 50 friends. For now the group-calling option is available for Android and iOS platforms, and it’s unclear for other operating systems.

According to David Marcus from Facebook says that,”If you have the latest version of Messenger, you should see the phone icon appear in group conversations within the next 24 hours.”

To enable this feature, tap on phone icon from any group conversation and they’ll all receive a messenger call. You can see who’s on the call and who’s not on the call and you can send another ring for friends who hasn’t joined.

With more than 900 million monthly active users in messenger, is now one of the most successful product made by Facebook ever. Facebook messenger is even more powerful, yet it still can’t yet compete with Skype for video calls and Google Hangouts.

You can download Facebook Messenger for Android from Google Play Store and for iOS from App Store.
