Twitter India CEO Resigns

The Twitter India chief Rishi Jaitly is leaving Twitter, after four years of service with the social media company. He led Twitter’s India operations helping it expand in the country.

Before joining Twitter back in 2012, Rishi was the director of US-based John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. He was also the co-founder and CEO of Michigan Corps (a civic and social organization). Rishi also headed the Public-Private Partnerships at Google India for two years.

Though the company hasn’t announced anything officially about who will take over Rishi’s position. However Rishi announced his move through a series of tweets.

“We thank Rishi Jaitly for his contributions, entrepreneurship and leadership over the past four years at Twitter. He was our first person on the ground to bring Twitter into the high-growth Indian market”, a Twitter India spokesperson told Mashable India.
