YouTube sensation Pewdiepie announced last December 2 that he will be deleting his account once it reaches 50 million subscribers. The infamous vlogger has the YouTube’s biggest channel with more than 50 million subscribers. Pewdiepie or Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg created his YouTube channel way back 2010 and has then gained a massive fan base.
Today, Felix Kjellberg comes clean, revealing that it was just a joke all along.
Instead of deleting his main “Pewdiepie” channel, Kjellberg actually deleted his secondary channel, Jack septiceye2, which previously had over 1 million subscribers
“You know when you make a joke, and it just blows up way bigger than you ever imagined?” Kjellberg asked.
“That was it, that was the joke,” Kjellberg said, before mocking all the news sites that picked up the story without skepticism.
He keeps the joke going, too. “Will delete Pewdiepie at 100 million,” the video says at the end. Hope nobody falls for it this time 🙂
