For whatever reason, you find yourself wanting to find somebody on Facebook. Maybe you’re looking for an old friend or a distant family member. Maybe you’re polishing your stalking skills. Regardless, there are several ways to achieve this.
Facebook Photo Links
First and foremost, the easiest way to locate someone’s FB if you’re ALREADY talking to them on a different platform is via a FB photo link. If you have a way with words, convince them to send you a picture. 90% of the time, they will go on their FB, right click their picture, and copy the link.
What people don’t realize is that there’s a number trick to this. If someone gives you a FB photo link, you’ll see several series of numbers separated by “_”. Type the SECOND series of numbers into a FB URL: www.facebook.com/NUMBERHERE and your victim will pop up.
Phone Number/Email
This one is pretty well-known. If you have access to the person’s email or phone number, you can usually find their FB by typing the email/number into the search bar. If they don’t pop up, consider using a website like Pipl to investigate further.
Find Friends Feature
FB’s “Find Friends” feature is a bit creepy. If you allow FB to access your personal information and location, you might notice that relevant people are popping up in your “Find Friends”. For example, if you are at a bar, you might notice that other people in that bar – people you aren’t even talking to – are popping up in your “Find Friends”.
Some people even believe that the “Find Friends” feature will show you people who have been viewing your profile.
FB URL
Lastly, one of the easiest ways to locate a person on FB is to play around with possible URLs. Most people (unwisely) set their FB URL to their full names.
Consider trying the following options:
- facebook.com/firstname.lastname
- facebook.com/lastname.firstname
- facebook.com/firstnamelastname
- facebook.com/lastnamefirstname
- facebook.com/emailname
If the person has a common name, try adding relevant numbers to the URL (think birthday/anniversary/important dates).
