Here’s some good news for all iPhone users (and bad news for Apple perhaps). A new jailbreak Unc0ver is out for all users. This Unc0ver iOS jailbreak works well even against the latest iOS version 13.5.
Unc0ver iOS Jailbreak Exploiting A Zero-Day
Security researchers and hackers have together worked to develop a new iOS jailbreak dubbed Unc0ver. This new tool lets all iOS users jailbreak their devices without hassle.
According to its website, Unc0ver is capable to jailbreak a large number of iOS devices running iOS 11 and above. And the tool even allows the users to jailbreak the latest iOS 13.5 as well.
According to a hacker of the Team Unc0ver, the jailbreak exploits a zero-day vulnerability in iOS. Presently, Apple does not know of this flaw. Hence, Unc0ver’s latest version can even jailbreak iOS 13.5.
This ability to jailbreak the current iOS version has happened after five years since iOS 8. Whereas, all other jailbreak strategies used 1day exploits that soon received patches.
Apart from jailbreaking, what makes Unc0ver desirable is its secure operations. Although, jailbreaking is not usually advised as it makes the device vulnerable to hackers.
As stated on their website,
unc0ver preserves security layers designed to protect your personal information and your iOS device by adjusting them as necessary instead of removing them. With this security adjusted on your iOS device, you can run your favorite jailbreak apps and tweaks while still being protected from attackers.
Moreover, the tool enables the jailbroken devices to continue receiving security updates by Apple. Plus, it also takes care of battery life and software stability.
Some iOS Versions Not Supported
Despite working for several versions, Unc0ver may not jailbreak some exceptions. These include iOS 12.3-12.3.2 and 12.4.2-12.4.5.
So, until Apple catches that particular zero-day exploited by Unc0ver, users may take benefit from this tool to jailbreak their devices. They can download the tool from the Unc0ver website.
