Microsoft is seemingly working on a new PC optimizer app for Windows users. Dubbed “Microsoft PC Manager,” the Windows app recently surfaced online for the public (beta testing), awaiting feedback and reviews.

Microsoft Windows PC Manager Features

According to the details shared by Aggiornamenti Lumia, Microsoft has developed a standalone PC optimization tool for Windows users. What the tech giant calls “Microsoft PC Manager,” the app performs device cleanup and optimization activities, similar to Piriform’s CCleaner app.

Microsoft seem to be trialling the product in China first and mentioned on the official app store page [translated],

By paying attention to user habits, Microsoft PC Manager finally made MS PC Manager the user’s favorite choice, thus having our own version of PC Manager.

According to the details Microsoft mentions on the official site, the PC Manager app exhibits the following features.

  • One-click acceleration – speeds up the device by cleaning system junk and freeing up occupied resources.
  • System space management – performs disk cleanup, scans for large files, and manages disk space.
  • System scan – detects malware, viruses, and other issues for better device performance. The malware scan runs via the embedded Windows Defender.
  • System Health check – scans the device for hardware issues, troubleshooting glitches, and fixing system risks.

App Released For Beta Testing

Microsoft started developing this app without any hype. Lumia elaborated in a subsequent tweet that the app has been around for several months already. However, it was in beta testing phase and was available in Chinese only. But lately, the app has entered the official Microsoft App Store, though the listing remains hidden until the time of writing this story.

The visuals also suggest that the app has been developed by Chinese developers, hence, the descriptions, app screenshots, and other details appear in the Chinese language. Even the Microsoft App Store listing mentions the availability of the app in only one language yet (the Chinese).

The App Store currently lists the PC Manager app version 2.3. It supports X64-based systems running Windows 10 version 19041.0 or higher.

Users eager to check out the app can visit the App Store or the official web page to download the app. Although, it’s in beta testing phase and may exhibit glitches. Yet, users can always share their feedback with the developers for improvements.

Would love to give a go. But the official web page seems to be in what looks like the Chinese language? And so is App Store. Can the site be accessed in English language?

It seems Microsoft are trialing it only in China currently, hopefully it will be available in English soon
