Paying Subscribers will receive Prioritized News Feed from Google

Customers who are paying for Google News Feed will get a prioritized feed instead of the regular feed. Google is trying to retain premium users in its platform by sharing the search data to show the publishers who are likely to buy the subscription. The data will help publishers target the potential subscribers which embark’s a potential relationship with the Media Companies in Silicon Valley.

Many Companies like Wall Street Journal, New York Times and the Washington Post are trying to get the readers to pay for their content as it is very hard to support News with advertising revenue. While some companies are arguing that Google and Facebook should publish new tools arguing they should help support journalism.

Meanwhile, Facebook has recently updated its algorithm that is expected to bring down the publishers audience. The Company has also started testing paywalls in Instant articles so that publishers can keep the entire revenue. Apple bought Texture, A News Magazine company to support high-quality journalism.

Google has published a plan where the publishers get the “First Click Free” which led some media outlets deciding about strict online paywall to appear finally the argument was settled when Google agreed to let media outlets to decide on how many articles does a free user gets from Google News before there is Paywall.
