If you’ve kept up to date on my recent posts involving the supposed Dark Fantasy Network, you’ll know that they claim to offer “unimaginable information”, “enlightenment”, and “knowledge”. In other words, to shorten it, they claim to offer a form of the truth that the rest of humanity has yet to discover.
While that alone seems to bring skepticism, the true question of legitimacy revolves around the actual existence of the network as a whole. You can only find so much information while researching online. Although more information is available now than ever, I still made it a point to get in contact with the group claiming to have resurrected the network.
This wasn’t hard, considering it wasn’t the first time I sought contact. In fact, I would consider myself on “friendly” terms with most of them. Regardless of that, the information that I was given after reaching out to them again was very…well, interesting, to say the least.
“Our goal this time around is to give life to a network built solely on rumors and misinformation. We have spent the last month building a 100% working, completely functioning network. You can request Regular or VIP access.”
After giving a brief description of the network as a whole, they branched off into its capabilities and their ultimate goals. The Dark Fantasy Network supposedly holds access to the following nodes: taur, elen, and life. In upcoming months, they plan to add both nept and dafy.
Furthermore, I was also told that forums and a marketplace will also (eventually) be added to the network.
“Currently, users have access to most websites included in taur, elen, and life nodes. The websites include information ranging from classified documents and general enlightenment to useful and dangerous software. Eventually, we plan to add a forum, marketplace, and IRC server.”
Now, the thing that surprised me the most was that the group claims to understands the skepticism and downright denial surrounding the network as a whole. This is why they are apparently offering “trial accounts” for a limited time.
